Electrical services for Tampa Bay homes
Every job starts with a written price. Every job that needs a permit gets one.
Panel upgrades
Your panel feeds every circuit in the house. When it's old, overloaded or a brand insurers flag, replacing it is often the right fix.
What's included
- A free visit to check your panel and what you run on it
- A written price before any work starts
- The permit and city or county inspection
- Coordination with Tampa Electric or Duke Energy Florida if the service has to be disconnected
- New breakers, every circuit labeled
- Cleanup and a walk-through when we're done
Signs you need it
- Breakers trip often, or you reset the same one every week
- Lights dim when the AC kicks on
- An old fuse box, or a panel your insurer or inspector asked about
- You're adding an EV charger, pool, or a big appliance
- The panel feels warm or smells like burning. Call us now.
Many Florida insurers ask about your electrical panel during a four-point inspection. We can tell you what they usually look for.
Generators and transfer switches
Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30. A generator set up the right way keeps the fridge cold and the fans running when the power is out for days.
What's included
- Help choosing between a whole-home standby unit and a portable hookup
- Sizing based on what you actually want to keep running
- Transfer switch or interlock installed at your panel
- The permit and inspection
- A walk-through so you know how to switch over in a storm
Signs you need it
- You lost power for days in a past storm
- Someone at home relies on medical equipment
- You run a portable generator on extension cords
- You work from home and can't afford to go dark
Never plug a generator into a wall outlet. Without a transfer switch, power can feed back into the lines and injure utility crews working to restore them.
Repairs and troubleshooting
Small electrical problems are often warnings. We find what's causing it, explain it in plain words, and fix it.
What's included
- Troubleshooting to find the cause, not just the symptom
- Outlets, switches, GFCI and breaker repairs
- A written price before the repair
- A clear explanation of what we found
Signs you need it
- An outlet or switch is warm, buzzing or has scorch marks
- Lights flicker for no clear reason
- A GFCI outlet won't reset
- Half a room's outlets stopped working
Lighting and ceiling fans
Better light makes a house feel finished. We put it in neatly, with no mess left behind.
What's included
- Ceiling fans on a box rated to hold them
- Recessed and under-cabinet lighting
- Dimmers and smart switches
- Outdoor and security lighting
- Floors covered and cleanup after
Signs you need it
- A fan wobbles or hums
- Rooms that stay dark even with every lamp on
- You want light on the patio, driveway or side yard
EV chargers
Charging on a regular wall outlet is slow. A Level 2 charger on its own circuit can usually charge your car overnight.
What's included
- A panel capacity check before anything else
- A dedicated circuit to the garage or driveway
- Install of the charger you bought, or help choosing one
- The permit and inspection
Signs you need it
- You just bought or leased an EV
- Charging on a wall outlet isn't keeping up
- A second EV is coming to the household
Inspections
A clear answer on the state of your wiring, written down, so you can make a decision.
What's included
- A whole-home electrical safety check
- Fixes for items flagged on a four-point or home inspection
- A written report with photos
- A check of outlets and panels after flooding or storm damage
Signs you need it
- You're buying or selling a home
- Your insurer asked for electrical repairs
- Your home is older and you don't know when it was last checked
- Water got into outlets or the panel after a storm
